Iron Discipline LLC is owned and managed by Dan Swenson. Dan is a lifelong Christian who has followed a calling to help improve the human condition by creating economic opportunities for business owners to provide for themselves, and for their teams to provide for their families in turn.

Dan has been a senior finance executive at several Fortune 500 companies, serving in roles in which he set financial strategies, raised funds for multi-billion dollar projects, arranged strategic partnerships, and coordinated large scale teams across sales, marketing, engineering, finance, HR and legal functions.

Dan has also been a small business owner, with experience applying world-class business practices to solidly Main Street operations.

Dan has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and a BBA in Finance from the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. He is an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Denver instructing the capstone Strategic Finance course in the MBA and MS in Finance programs.

Dan has visceral experience in perseverance not only in business but also in sport as an accomplished World Championship podium finisher in cycling and triathlon.

Dan serves on the Board of Directors of Faithful Presence, a not-for-profit focused on how those in the US Federal Government might bring Christ-oriented care and compassion to governance policies, and is the Treasurer, a Board Member and head of the finance committee for Ascend Vail, a not-for-profit focused on men’s and women’s faith and emotional health.
